Tricia Edgar
Meet Tricia, an active Ontario artist and art educator.
Tricia is passionate about creating colourful art that reflects a sense of playful energy. She strives to create overall compositions that capture interesting perspectives and ways to encourage the eye to travel within the space of the canvas. At the same time her desire is to have the viewer feel curious to what lies beyond the snapshot she has painted. Using oil and acrylics, Tricia is drawn to creating texture and rhythm with flowing paint strokes. Tricia feels that variety and switching between art mediums keeps her approach fresh and energy infused.
Tricia has a small-town spirit with deep rural roots growing up near Port Dover, Ontario. Living in Norfolk County near the shores of Lake Erie and spending the past 25 years cottaging by Lake Huron has fostered a passion for nature, farmland, big skies and The Great Lakes. Tricia explores these themes with the intent to give voice to the natural world around her. She has spent much of her life interacting and building strong connections with the people and the landscapes of both Lake Erie and Lake Huron.
For Tricia, her home of London is perfectly situated between her two favorite Great Lakes. With its beautiful winding Thames River and lovely variety of trees, London provides plently of creative inspiration. She strives to be active in her community and to spread a vibe of positivity through her colourful and expressive-styled art
